The pro wrestling manager/valet may or may not handle the business needs of their wrestlers. The manager/valet is a marketable character whose goal is the same as the wrestlers -- put people in the seats!!! The path to becoming a professional wrestling manager/valet is similar to becoming a professional wrestler. The main difference is that a manager/valet will not experience the same number of "bumps" and falls. Before deciding on becoming a manager/valet, over a wrestler, remember that the role of these positions is secondary to the wrestler. The manager/valet is there to support the wrestler! Whether it be to distract the referee, do the talking for the wrestlers, or to keep the crowd entertained. In most all situations, managers/valets should never overshadow their wrestlers. The goal of a manager/valet is to entertain the crowd without getting in the way! |
